Transsion Holdings has joined the Series A funding round of personal AI assistant company Today AI, and the two parties will explore combining personal AI assistants with smart devices. Today AI has raised over $200 million in total from investors including IDG Capital, Tencent, 5Y Capital, Ant Group, HongShan and Transsion. Today AI started overseas public beta in September 2026 and launched its domestic version on September 24.
Today AI's core team, led by founder Qi Junyuan, discussed their personal agent product in an interview, noting global and China launches in September, hundreds of millions in funding, and sharing views that proactivity is the most important trait, personalization is a prerequisite, and the market faces hype risks.
